Claiming Retro Weeks Online Empty Claiming Retro Weeks Online

Post  Unemployed In Orlando Mon Jul 13, 2009 9:32 am

I just claimed my retro weeks this morning online. Now I am caught up with the retro payments, the system allowed me to claim 6 weeks total, week ending 6/6 till week ending 7/11. This is great news! My suspicions on those pesky mail in forms held true, now I am certain they were only a form of backup for AWI in case they didnt have the system in place soon.

No sir, just the same as normal before. Im thinking things might possibly remain the same as they were, only keeping a log of the work searches on the old form.

If anyone needs that form it can be found here http://www.floridajobs.org/Unemployment/download/uc/AWI-UC20A%20Rev%2010-07.doc

Its more or less a backup record of your work searches to have just in case your "audited" by AWI for your search efforts.

Claiming Retro Weeks Online Empty Re: Claiming Retro Weeks Online

Post  Jenn Mon Jul 13, 2009 10:59 am

Hi all, just joined....cool forum UIO.

I have information regarding retro weeks that aren't being seen yet.

My claim is showing no weeks because the system thinks my claim is exhausted because it's still in old determination amt mode. So the checks they have issued already on the claim are making the system think I have no more credit, therefore no more weeks to claim.

The lady I spoke to today said after noon today it might show differently.

This info she received after reviewing my info with her supervisor since even she couldn't process my weeks.

Claiming Retro Weeks Online Empty Re: Claiming Retro Weeks Online

Post  Unemployed In Orlando Mon Jul 13, 2009 3:22 pm

OK, I had the same issue as some others who claimed weeks this morning. Heres the scoop...

I claimed weeks ending 6/6 through 7/11 this morning for a total of 6 weeks. The payments have processed today and checking online I only show 4 weeks paid today with the same next date to claim as today, 7/13.

I went up the ladder again and spoke with a good source who informed me that since the month of July began a new quarter, it would check to see if I qualified to just open a new claim year. I know it will not since I havent earned any credits since I claimed my benefit year in 1/08. She also agreed with me and said its an automatic process.

What will happen is the 4 weeks will be paid dd tomorrow then the system will also update to show 2 more weeks (for July 4th and 11th ending) tomorrow as well. That dd will go out wednesday. Also my next date to claim will show tomorrow as 7/27.

Anyone with the same issue, theres the answer Very Happy

Shit, I knew I forgot something, yes I found out that the next TWO weeks that we claim between now and 7/27 and 7/28 for others will also have a section when claiming weeks to input the employers you applied with during those TWO weeks. Of course she also said forms will be mailed out as well for those who do not have internet access. Im thinking they will come with the 2 week reminders we receive to claim weeks, but since we all have internet access, disregard those and just fill out the section online when claiming. These work forms / submissions are not going to be required for retro weeks I was told. So its only something forward now on upcoming weeks to claim.

Yes I mailed it in on 6/29. I think these were only done as a backup failsafe in case they didnt have the system up. There isnt any way to elect not to claim those weeks, since it started with week ending 6/6 this morning. Im pretty sure when they set the system up, it was to just allow people to claim up through the month of May. Of course people who applied for EB through the mail-in hard copy application would need to send those retro forms in, I think there was some miscommunication to us about those, either that or they decided to do it a different way lol!

Nope because it allowed me to claim 7/4 and 7/11 online too. You will be good to go without those mail in forms.

Post  Unemployed In Orlando Tue Jul 14, 2009 8:15 am

Ok, so things are not going as smoothly as I thought they would in yesterdays posts. I see where the check for 4 weeks in June went out still, but wtf, I have a whole new benefit year beginning 7/1/09!?!??! What happened to her telling me I would see the 2 weeks for July going out today and wtf is up with the credits?!?!? I had $3850 last night?!? This is insane!

Your benefit year began on 07/01/09.
Your weekly benefit amount is $87.00.
Your available credits were: $973.00.

A check in the amount of $1100.00, was issued on 07/13/09 for 4 weeks. Checks are mailed one working day after being issued.

A stimulus check in the amount of $100.00, was issued on 07/13/09 for 4 weeks. Checks are mailed one working day after being issued.

Your Balance is $973.00

Twisted Evil Ok so I will be blazing a trail through AWI this morning, I will post results later. Twisted Evil

*EDIT Spoke to some baffoon who said that I shouldnt even being seeing this that my EB claim is still in tact. However she sounded like she was half asleep. I am trying another source, will keep posted.

*EDIT2 God I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else, I finally spoke with someone with some sense, that other loser was totally talking out her ass. It appears the system automatically requalifies at the start of the new quarter, 7/1. It automatically populated that information in my account this morning. From what I was told, my claim now has to be forwarded to someone who will manually go in and check to see if I am eligible for a new claim. Since I havent worked there is no way I should be. Then that person would then set my remaining $3850 credits back to my EB claim. The person I spoke to did however say the at least the 4 weeks for $1200 in June would still go out DD today, whew! Now I have to wait till next monday to make sure this correction has manually been made. This system they use is about the most worthless fucking thing I have ever dealt with. Mad I really hope noone else has this issue, could someone who claimed weeks yesterday post or pm me and let me know if you show any different info online this morning? Thanks.

Cross your fingers you dont have any of the issues Im having as posted above. Its good that you dont show a benefit year beginning 7/1/09 though, hopefully it was just me and you guys who claimed yesterday arent affected.

Just spoke to Robby (850) 245-7130
He looked up my account and said that my EB has not been processed yet STILL WAITING, OMG! He said that they expect to have all claims in the system in 2 weeks! Last week the man I spoke to said 2 weeks. He also said that after our determinations have been made that we should not expect a DD until 10-12 days after our approval. Why does this seem fishy? Some have got their iEB's approved and payments before they have even received their determination letters. Does anyone know what the hell they are talking about? He also said that claims on AWI website are updated after 4 p.m. to check back then! FYI. Filed 6/19

I am in the same boat!! Basically u probably show only 50%. But that will jump up to 80% or an additional 30% after it pays out past week 4/18. Additionally it will take us an extra day or two to see changes or get money because the system has to reject it first. Then reprocess it. Although she wasn't sure if I was going to get all 15 weeks I've claimed so far in one check or two. I first saw info for mine on Friday. But after I claimed my 15 weeks it went in limbo yesterday. And has remained there since. She said maybe today it will updAte and send money if not then definitely tomorrow. I actually got this same info from two ladies who returned my call this morning after calling their direct extentions yesterday!! I will keep u informed. When did the computer first show u info??
