DOCTOR'S VIEW OF HEALTH CARE BILL
Found this verbiage summary taken from the "Moneytalk" financial radio show last weekend hosted by Bob Brinker.
DOCTOR'S VIEW OF HEALTH CARE BILL: Brinker said: "There have been many opinions expressed with reference to so-called health care reform, but the views that I've respected the most are the views of those in the medical profession......Who is in a better position to know what is going on out there? Certainly not the politicians in Washington that are making policy decisions. I would go with the views of the collective fraternity of doctors when it comes to what it is really like to be on the front line....
..... And I received a communique from a doctor in New York and this particular doctor did an excellent job of describing what's going on out there in the real world. This particular individual happens to be an orthopedic surgeon in New York......He talks about so-called health care reform and how it relates to him from the perspective of a practicing physician. He talks about the fact that he's going to be directly impacted as a result of this legislation. One area he focuses on is the patient care and how that will change in the future. And in his view....doctors are going to have to jump through hoops in order to get their patients the care that they need. And he speaks as a surgeon in his communique to me, and I thank you Doctor, for this, so that I could share it with Moneytalk listeners as a first-hand look at the reality of what has happened. Your reality, and I'm sure the reality of doctors across the United States.....
......It's going to be necessary for him to request authorization from a government board as to whether he is granted permission to perform elective surgery. Now elective surgery could be one of many different operations. It could be a hip replacement or a knee replacement, or one of many others. And he says that when he makes the request for authorization from the government board as to whether he can be granted permission to go ahead with the elective procedure, that he expects the decision to be based on age and life-expectancy. Now this is a dramatic change in health care in the United States. Because in the past, as he points out, these decisions have been made in consultations involving the doctor, the patient and the patient's family......You haven't heard people talking much about this so I think you should be aware of it. It's really important.....
.....So government is in a position to decide whether it's cost effective to repair your grandmom's hip fracture, for example -- just one aspect of this plan -- one aspect. And in this doctor's opinion, he believes every person in the United States should oppose this plan, which was just passed and signed into law -- just based on this one aspect. And of course that doesn't even begin to address the expense involved in the plan. And of course as you know, we have other fiscal problems, unfunded liabilities, Medicare, Social Security, prescription drugs -- part of the Medicare program, that have given us government gone wild fiscally. With nobody at the helm -- out of control. And of course, medical malpractice reform was not addressed in this bill."

Top Senate Dem admits that Un-American Health Bill was to address "Mal-Distribution" of Wealth
thought this was supposed to be about access to health care..................
This is the Same Sen Baucus (D-Montanna) who tried to get his girlfriend appointed US Attorney last year. He is also chairman of the Senante Finance Comittee that crafted legislation to eliminate high deductible-low cost health care plans and Health Savings Accounts. (Not these are unusual actions for a Senator, but you would think that this elitist behavor would prevent him from making sanctimonious statements about redistribution of wealth )

Buried in the newly enacted health care reform legislation is a provision that amends the Fair Labor Standards Act to require employers to provide a "reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for a nursing child for 1 year after the child's birth each time such employee has need to express the milk." In addition, the employer must provide for this purpose "a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public."
Businesses that employ fewer than 50 employees are exempt from these requirements if they can show that following them would impose an "undue hardship." The burden of proof will be on the employer and may be difficult to meet in most cases.
On the other hand, things could have been worse for employers. Yesterday, April 1, a wag claimed that, but for Republican intervention, the legislation would have required:
a windowed room, with a view of a tree, lace curtains and a pleasing floral wall paper. The "mother's retreat" must be equipped with dimmable lighting, a La Leche approved breast-feeding rocker, and be stocked with warm towels.

amendment that would require all Members of Congress and their staffs tp enroll in any new Health Care reform plan
Comment: Even though the recent Health Care bill was advertised as applying to members of Congress, it does NOT apply to their tax payer funded staffs (who wrote much of the legislation )
If this is a issue that has been bothering you, let them know and vote
Subject: FORWARD THIS AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!
On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment
that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health
plan. It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to
drink at the same trough! Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana !
Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would
require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us
(under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and Sign his petition
(very simple - just email). I have just done just that at:
http://fleming.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=55
Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!
If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congress should have to accept the
same level of health care for themselves and their families.
To do otherwise is the height of hypocrisy! Please pass this on!!
Pass this on to everyone on your e-list…pass it across America

IRS Penalties for Health Care Enforcement
Interesting that the advocates of this plan swore that there would be no penalties enforced for not complying with mandatory Health Insurance coverage requirements, yet the IRS commisioner himself here says that they will withold the penalty/fine from your tax refund.

Where is my free Obama Care ?
There must be a lot of cool-aid drinkers out there who thought this Health Care bill was a panacea to the worlds problems..
If you want to have some fun next time you go to the Doctor, when they hand you the bill just tell them to bill it to Obama care, it will take care of everything (lol)

Mother to receive life-saving surgery
Looks like this poor lady (see my earlier post on Medicade revoked) and her friends were able to prevail on the political establishment to get her surgery. I hate to say it but this situation rymes a bit with the phrase "death panel".

Canceled: Hearing That Would Have Grilled CEOs on Health Care
This made nice headlines when Rep Wax-man was griping about this on TV a few weeks ago, but when it came time for the rubber to meet the road (with equal time rebutals in a hearing) his silence is now deafening. You would think they could of found some time for some Tier V work in there somewhere........
