The Flu Just Sucks....

I just want to say I hate the flu...what a terrible week and a half Anyone else gotten sick this season? Im wondering now if I should have went for a flu shot...

I know - talk about dead in a bed.. The flu struck in October and it was brutal. I barely moved for 8 or 9 days, and that medicine that supposedly cuts its duration didn't help. I felt better for 3 days, then ended up in the bathroom/on the couch for another 4 or 5 days. Yuck. I owe my life to water and Tylenol.
I'm from Wyoming, and we tend to be healthy. I don't know anyone who gets flu shots. Maybe we should reconsider?

Yeah I tried every OTC medicine I think they make, insane that nothing helps at all lol Im finally able to function today and hopefully it will be gone sooooon!!

Ohhh. so sorry to hear you're sick, UIO, I didn't know. If it's any consolation whatsoever, probably better to be asleep than constantly thinking about how the heck AWI is going to manage to get funds out to everybody, the way things are going.

Other than lots of water and hot tea with lemon and some herbal teas and supplements like Vit C, I've never had any help from a lot of the OTC stuff either, except maybe Tylenol for achiness. Kyolic and echinacea and golden seal for prevention, but a lot of the packaged stuff sometimes seems to just prolong the agony.

If you are coughing, if you can get or have any coltsfoot tea, that's a lesser known help for coushs. Tastes awful, so have to add honey or lemon or something.

Hope u feel better UIO, I came down hard with the flu Thanksgiving weekend. I was dead in the water for 3 days , the lung congestion (and fever) started breaking on the evening of the third day. Dr. Crown Royal was my only consultation.
