State Running Out of Money to Pay Unemployed

My $4.00 Dollar General Datexx DD-611 solar powered calculator told me the fund would be broke come August and what do you know.....IT IS!!!!!

Thanks for the post Gonzo, good find! I am assuming this is for regular claims, because the money appropriated for EB isnt close to being exhausted according to Robbie Cunninghams claim in his email to Jim Stratton.

I believe UIO that they are talking about regular claims....but if Robby Cunningham is involved,it's any body's guess.....LOL. On a more somber note,the fund had $2 billion dollars in it as of Jan of 2008....as of Wed. it has been reduced to $82 million. Damn,a billion here,a billion there,pretty soon were talking serious money here

I'm not so sure they actually separate those funds. But I think it's a moot point, since the state is obligated to borrow more money from the feds to keep up with demand, and will need even more if the amount they raised employer taxes and/or the overall sum of employer taxes doesn't meet upcoming demands. I don't think we have to worry about our individual claims til we get into a "California" situation.

But then, if things keep going this way for another year or so, it seems it's "California, here we come!"
