I called tuesday per below, still no update on my claim info and no dd. I tried to call in today and couldnt get a live person.

sc4ram on Tue Aug 18, 2009 11:41 pm

.Just a update on my status:

I have not yet received my DD from last week's claim. I left a msg (name and phone number only) with Josh and later Melody yesterday and did not receive a call back. I called Cassandra this morning (very pleasant and helpful) and reached her directly. She looked at my data, and said it had been flagged as of yesterday but the flag had been removed yesterday and she asked me if I had talked to anybody else (which I had not, but I told her I had left a msg but no ID info with Josh and Melody) .

I said if the flag had been removed yesterday then there must now be no problem. She said to be sure, she will print out my work search info and take it to the dept that clears these flags to ensure there would be no holds on a check release approval today. Her expectation was that my claim should be relased tonite (when it batches thru overnite) and should show in the system tomorrow . (then DD will follow at the normal cycle time)

Cassandra was great, no gripes, no interogation, no critique. I'll post if and when I get some results

FYI--I filed for my weeks August 10th and was given the form online to fill out my job search contacts at that time for both weeks. I still haven't gotten the payments, which are now one week late. Can't get through--they have the a horrible voice mail system that makes you go through all these step and then tells you to call back later and cuts you off. I have called there hundreds of time during my one year, 10 month period of unemployment and only gotten thru twice. Can't now though.

I am not sure if I need to do something or just wait. Even calling at 7:30 doesn't work. Very frustrating.

Hi Garyb,
most of the time, trying to call the 1-800-204-2418 number is virtually impossible to get through. That is why many of us have found other ways to get through. Back out of this forum and look for the AWI - Contacts sub forum and there should be numbers there to try. Better yet try this link CLICK ME

Just now got thru to Melody. I explained that I had previously called in per below but had still not received a payment. She (nicely) said that the info I received on tuesday was correct when I got it, subsequently they had another system glitch that prevented payment to many claimants. She seemed confident that after 3PM today that the system would update and I could view it on the claims info tab. She double checked my account while I had her on the phone and she didnt forsee any problems. Stay tuned.

Just got a call from Melody, she informed me that my claim would not update today, she said it was still being impeded by generic system issues. She said she spoke to a supervisor and she manually over-rode it and i should see a payment release tomorrow.

Sorry but I had to remove all off topic posts from earlier, also pulled out the banhammer.... Evil or Very Mad

Doesnt get us very far when we have to ban users who flame in PM and in topic, we need to stick together and continue the sharing of info which has moved some mountains for us already!

Enough about it here though, I posted in the Off Topic thread lol

I claimed tuesday the 11th. I called Josh late on Tuesday. He printed my screen and took it to "the people" that were handling flags. My check was cut on Thursday and in my bank Saturday. I was very fortunate, apparently to have it go soooo smooth.... Sorry to hear how many of you are still being delayed. At the same time - we have each other! That is so huge. I don't feel like I'm wandering in the dark struck down by the unmerciful and constantly faltering AWI. Because we have the power of knowledge sharing. Gosh I love the internet. (I'm a goofball I know). And UIO - you aren't to bad either!!

Work Search Form Requirements - Page 11 Empty Question on Job Numbers

Post  SaraJ Fri Aug 21, 2009 11:37 am

Hi All, Sometimes I use the Employflorida website for job searching. All the jobs on there have an employflorida job no. and some that you apply for from the employflorida website have their own separate job number. So should I use employFL job number OR the companies job number on my work search form? I guess it doesn't really matter just wanted someone's opinion scratch

Post  sc4ram Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:35 pm

Just now checked my claims info tab profile, and as Melody prognosticated, it now shows that payment has been released for the 2 weeks of EB I claimed last week. Assume I will receive my DD unless I post otherwise.

Glad I got that cleared up just in time for claiming 2 of my last 3 weeks next week.

Have a good weekend everybody.

Post  spirit Fri Aug 21, 2009 5:58 pm

I was told my check would be mailed on weds the 19th..I am currently STILL waiting for said check that on the 24th when I claim my weeks again will be 2 weeks late. I am very low in food, I have bills coming due, I have very little gas in my car (so how am I supposed to look for work other then by the internet?). Sighs another month of having zero money and pleading with the bill companies to please hang on. All the back pay I received last month went to pay off bills and the late fees. I am growing very tired of all this..I have been out work for a year and 3 months. What am I going to when this runs out in september? Pray that some job is going to drop into my lap out of thin air?..Sighs I will keep you posted on whether I ever get that check from 2 weeks ago. Oh and I refuse to do DD and even tho I do pay my bills online when I can..I do it as one time payments..that way no one is pulling funds from my bank and I am not incurring overdrafts.

Because they are idiots that are inefficient and wasteful. I wonder how much money they spend on postage & mantime to process all these forms/mailings....

Thats if you were not claiming online, believe it or not many people claim weeks other than online. Its sorta like the wasted mess they sent us with the EB app and retro forms back in June.

Anyone run into this before? Also should we put in 2 different methods of job searches. I really just have internet searches, but guess I could include an "other" since that was one of the choices...

They are Not supposed to hold them up this time. But if your account is not updated by tomorrow, I would call. I don't claim my weeks until tomorrow.

I am not on the EB claim anymore, but on a new regular claim, even my weeks showed the same info today about keeping a work search history and being asked for input later in the claiming process. I guess this is just something they added for whatever reasons. Rolling Eyes

You are NOT required to have 2 different methods; if you have, fine, but once those flags are all removed and they have their system back to normal, there should be no confusion in the reps' minds about this. If you get a rep that says this, demand to speak with a supervisor to have them corrected.

They reposted the requrements with the red link (as if that were the only explanation required for the vast confusion of the week before) to clear up any leftover anxiety about this. The "2 methods" confusion was started only because the uninformed reps couldn't figure out why any particular claim was flagged, when they all were flagged, and started making up their own reasons.

Even though they ARE inefficient and wasteful, I'm glad they do this; it's a reassurance that we are still in the system and our claim is not suddenly screwed up for some unknown reason in the previous two weeks.

Also, I was once told by a knowledgeable rep that I would be surprised at how many people have to claim by mail. When you think about it, what would you do if you couldn't afford your internet connection for a while or missed a payment and it got cut off. Not everyone has a library or computer that's easily accessible and not everyone is yet computer-literate.

Post  john Mon Aug 24, 2009 5:36 pm

Does anyone have info on where on the www.fludinow.com website there is a place to fill out the work search form online? I just claimed my second two weeks today on the EB program and I could not see where I could enter my work search records, or any information about where to fax them.

Please point me in the right direction with a link or something.
